Torrone Festival

According to the legend that links torrone to the city of Cremona, it seems that this particular sweet was born in 1441 on the occasion of the wedding of the dukes of Milan, Francesco Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti. The name derives from the Torrazzo of Cremona, the great tower that is the symbol of the city.

Every year in November, Cremona becomes the sweetest city in Italy. The Torrone Festival always wants to amaze with many new features but there will be no shortage of traditional events, such as stalls, tastings, maxi Torrone constructions, the Golden Torrone, the Historical Reenactment of the Wedding between Bianca Maria Visconti and Francesco Sforza and the awaited Final Show that have always accompanied the festival.
